We have been travelling together since we were kids as members of the Children’s Choir of Polygyros. It’s been at least 15-20 years now that we have participated in numerous festivals and concerts all over Greece but also all over Europe.
In 2005, as adults, we decided to establish this particular group with the assistance of the Children’s Choir. We have given concerts in Hungary, in several cities in Greece and especially in Chalkidiki.
In 2011 new members have been included in the group and we have changed our name into “THAMYRIADES”.
Our repertory extends from classical to rock, pop and musical. You will have the opportunity to listen to us in selected halls.

The "family" also includes older levels, a treble chamber choir, a mixed young adult Chorus... moreThe Surrey Children's Choir family represents 3 choirs, a Junior Training Choir, an Intermediate Training Choir, and the Senior Surrey Children's Choir. The "family" also includes older levels, a treble chamber choir, a mixed young adult Chorus, and a community adult Chorus.
The Junior and Intermediate Training Choirs (JTC and ITC) provide a program of sequentially developed skills which prepare choristers for admission into the Surrey Children's Choir. The training choirs perform annually at the Family Christmas Concert and Year End concert (held in May of each year). They also often compete at the Fraser Valley Kiwanis Music Festival, always with great results. The training choirs may also perform at various events in the community.

We have about 25 members currently, but we are gaining new members each year. We put on two "shows" each year to raise funds that benefit the Chorus as a whole. We also perform throughout the year at various venues - retirement communities, nursing homes, churches, banquets, and other events.
