Vox Chamber Choir is a Pretoria based Chamber choir of 24 Singers. The choir was founded by composer, Franco Prinsloo, with a focus on quality recordings and performances of his own music, as well as a selection of music by other Pretoria based composers....  moreVox Chamber Choir is a Pretoria based Chamber choir of 24 Singers. The choir was founded by composer, Franco Prinsloo, with a focus on quality recordings and performances of his own music, as well as a selection of music by other Pretoria based composers. He also conducts the choir. They have recorded two collections of music by composers: Franco Prinsloo, Zander Fick and Pieter Bezuidenhout, “South African Choral Music Collection Vol. 1 and Vol. 2”. The latest album released in 2019 is "Speak to me", available on streaming platforms world wide. In 2019 a new recording will be released: “Naledi - An African Journey” featuring music of the choral musical with the same name. "Naledi: An African Journey" was commissioned by Lhente-Mari Pitout for the University of Pretoria Youth Choir to celebrate and explore the unique and diverse choral music heritage of South Africa. It was Mr. Bonnie Fonseka, a distinguished Old Boy, who's vision soon came to be a Benedictine tradition, by forming a musical club. This prompted the birth of the first College Choir. The Choir acquired a reputation for top class singing and in addition often invited to perform at important national events such as to perform with other schools when princess Elizabeth visited Ceylon in 1952. Since Mr. Bonnie Fonseka’s retirement there were many dedicated young musicians who undertook the responsibility and uphill task of training the Choir. Some of them were Mr. Robert Joseph, Mr. Francis De Almeida, Mr. Nicholas Johnpulle, Rev Bro. Augustine and Mr. Ravein George. Mr. Ravein George revived the Choir in 1996 and guided them to reach the height of success as being cited as a Classical Choir. The Choir won the all island singing competition in the year 1999. The group named DEKOR Chamber Choir is composed of experienced choral Singers from various parts of Slovenia, who in the past used to sing in renowned Slovene and some foreign vocal ensembles. Driven by the desire of thorough preparation of quality choral projects, the choir works under the leadership of Slovene and foreign guest conductors. The choir prepared their inaugural concert, entitled In the Beginning, in cooperation with young Finnish conductor Dani Juris The topic of creation coincided not only with the central composition of the concert, Copland’s In the Beginning, but also with the choir’s first public appearance and presentation of the concept of their work.
