The Musical Director has, since 2013, been Dominic Ellis-Peckham. We foster a friendly and supportive environment, and have regular social activities. We're relaxed but focused when it comes to pursuing musical excellence and have a keen shared purpose in developing our individual vocal skills, and pushing ourselves with new and challenging repertoire from across the centuries and genres. Each season the choir usually promotes around six concerts in London in venues such as St James's Piccadilly and St Paul's Covent Garden, and organises two weekend tours - one in the UK, and one overseas (recent destinations include Paris, Porto and Rome); and we regularly receive external bookings.​ Past engagements have included with Pete Townshend and Alfie Boe for 'Classic Quadrophenia' at the Royal Albert Hall, and with Madonna for the Eurovision Song Contest Final in Tel Aviv.  less

In my attempt, “O magnum mysterium” returns three times after the first statement, in a similar gesture but each time shifted to a new tonality with even more flats. Thus, the listener gets ever more pulled into this magnificent text until the piece culminates in a jubilant “Alleluia” in C-major, having come full-circle back to very first harmony we heard.  less

We are an auditioning, non-professional chamber choir, performing a diverse programme of repertoire at regular intervals throughout the year. We draw our membership from the hugely successful EC4 Music, a choir and orchestra that is widely regarded as one of the leading large amateur groups in London, and it is from this platform of success that CCoV takes its lead. EC4 Music recently performed at the Barbican for the fifth time, raising money for The Prince’s Trust and is also very excited to be making its Royal Festival Hall debut in October this year to mark the grand finale of the Lord Mayor's Appeal 2011. Lord Mayor, Michael Bear's appeal supports children’s charity Coram and RedR, a charity that trains and provides engineers and other relief workers to respond to worldwide emergencies. The Victoria Consort is a Belfast based chamber choir established in 2011, comprised of some of the finest young singers from across Northern Ireland. The choir performs a wide range of choral music to a high standard in concerts across the country.

All of them are former members of the “Dresdner Kreuzchor” (Choir of the Church of the Holy Cross Dresden) or the “Thomanerchor Leipzig” (St. Thomas Choir Leipzig), two of the most famous boy's choirs in Germany. The singers have set themselves the target to present their listeners a wide musical spectrum. Their repertoire consists of vocal music from Renaissance and Baroque to Romanticism to the 20th and 21st century. Important elements are works of Jacobus Gallus, Michael Praetorius, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Francis Poulenc and Rudolf Mauersberger. In addition they also perform with popular music. Music of the “Comedian Harmonists”, “The Beatles”, Billy Joel or the German group “Wise Guys” are also an essential part of their repertoire. We are a women's non auditioned choir. We sing across a wide range of genres from light classical through to pop and rock. We sing in 3-4 parts, and while working hard on our developing sound, we like to have fun!

Roots Chorale started out as an initiative to keep the choral practice alive outside of the church circles and to promote these practices in the community of San Andres Islands Archipelago.
