Zurecht, denn es ... more"Sleepless" ist eigentlich ein in Deutschland mäßig bekannter Electro-Track des schwedischen DJ-Duos "Cazzette". Wer im jungen Nachtleben unterwegs ist, wird sich trotzdem an diesen Song erinnern, der in vielen Clubs gerne gespielt wird. Zurecht, denn es ist tanzbarer, cooler Track. Noch cooler ist er allerdings ohne großes Bum-Bum, ohne Effekthascherei, Beat, Synthis und verzerrten Stimmen. Deshalb haben wir uns für eine sechsstimmige Acapella-Version entschieden und uns in dieses Arrangement verliebt.

Bernard’s music featured on the Horrible ... moreBernard Hughes’s music has been performed at major venues in Britain and abroad and received a number of broadcasts on BBC Radio 3. A CD of his choral music, I am the Song, was released in 2016 on Signum Classics. Bernard’s music featured on the Horrible Histories film Bill (2015), and he co-produced the album, Not Now, Bernard & Other Stories, performed Orchestra of the Swan and Alexander Armstrong, released in February 2020. In January 2020 Bernard’s choral music was featured in a portrait concert by the BBC Singers, and in November 2020 one of the pieces from that concert, I Sing of Love, was nominated by the Ivors Academy for an Ivors Composer Award.

The choir was established in 1996 (originally in the Lehava High School for Girls) by singer/choral conductor Nomi Teplow with the goal of bringing together girls with musical ability to work on a highly professional level and produce a wide variety of vocal music. The choir is comprised of 25-30 girls from areas throughout Samaria ranging in age from 13-18 years.
The Shir-El choir performs in concerts and at vocal conventions across the country bringing fine singing, rich harmonies and words of hope, faith and love of Israel to a broad range of audiences. The Shir E-l Choir has won first place several times in the national choral competition for high school choirs sponsored by the Israel Ministry of Education.
