Using the simple view that a good song is a good song, has meant that they bring together a collection of pieces that appeal to a wide audience. The choir delights in introducing new Songs that are connected by their unique choral sound, rather than from a particular genre and it is this wide appeal and their sense of fun that has meant the group is in constant demand and continually attracts new members. Even in its early days the choir never quite conformed to the accepted norms of what should be included in their repertoire. The style of singing is more 'pop' than classical and the choice of music reflects this, with the repertoire including show-tunes, popular Songs from the 1930s to today, as well as classic barbershop arrangements. There are strong links to musical theatre in that most Songs are choreographed, and performing skills are a key element in making a song work. We rehearse every Tuesday, 6:30pm-9:00pm, in central London between Kings Cross and St Paul's. We are always on the look out for enthusiastic and talented women so if you're interested in joining, do drop a line to hello@londoncitysingers.co.uk for details. onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less
