The organisation was set up by professional conductor, Emma Rowland, who suffers with anxiety and depression. Emma wanted to make choirs, and Singing, more accessible to everyone. During the COVID lockdown, SOS has been offering FREE virtual choirs to the entire world. We're currently (June 2020) in 80 countries and working with thousands of singers each week. By and by , they were ably assisted by highly interested and committed lay trainers cum teachers who went on to train prize winning choirs that stood out among schools and also were in great demand for national events. SINGERS: Valley Chamber Chorale members are talented singers committed to a high standard of performance. Just as our concerts display a dynamic diversity in programming and instrumentation, so do our singers reflect marvelous variety. Our members are educators and students, physicians and attorneys, stay-at-home moms, clergy, pilots, corporate executives and professional musicians. Some have sung with the Chorale for more than 30 years – some have sung just a year. Chorale members tend to be actively involved in the community and sing with the group as a way to share the gift of music with our St. Croix Valley audiences.
