Rehearsing at Akcan Akademi under conductor Özgen Öz, the choir is an active member of Koro Kültürü Derneği (the Choral Culture Association). Since its founding, FeminAnka has been invited to numerous festivals and has been honoured with several awards. Having shared the stage with Türkiye’s leading choirs, the choir continues to strengthen the place of the female voice in polyphonic music — with a repertoire spanning polyphonic arrangements of folk songs, contemporary works, sacred music and pop. We keep working with the same enthusiasm as on day one, driven by the wish to resonate alongside musicians devoted to polyphonic music in different countries, cities and concert halls.  less

Founded in 2014, the choir has performed more than 350 concerts in Poland and abroad. Our repertoire combines pop, folk and world music in original vocal arrangements, often enriched with movement and choreography. We sing mainly in three-part harmony and work without traditional sheet music, focusing on sound, expression, memory and a direct connection with the audience. Over the years, we have performed at festivals, major cultural events and international projects across Europe, collaborating with professional musicians and artists. We have also created dozens of educational concerts for children and community-based music projects. The vocal section of the Goldberg Ensemble, consisting of about 22 Singers coming from various established choirs in Malta, brings together choral enthusiasts to perform primarily baroque choral music in a more exhaustive manner. The musicians too are distinguished performers in their own right who tour Europe extensively, and who are versatile on both modern and baroque instruments. The Ensemble's director, Michael Laus, is the inspiration and motivator of the Goldberg Ensemble, whose harpsichord playing and conducting have been highly acclaimed by the international press.  less
