HomeChoir is a new way of learning Music. You don’t need to be an accomplished singer to take part. HomeChoir members watch and sing along with Ben - teaching is one-way so nobody can hear us but the neighbours! - and are also invited to take part in the live text chat with Ben and with fellow singers around the world. There is a vibrant and friendly social community among the Choir. If you can’t join in live, then you can still enjoy the Music-making at any time. All our sessions remain available on YouTube after the live streams end for watching on catch-up when you can, and as often as you like. It is not necessary to be able to read Music, and where scores are needed, Ben will display them on screen to help you learn. We are a group of friends who got to know each other while singing in the same academic or chamber Choirs. Eventually, our passion for the classical Music led us to create our own vocal ensemble. In our repertoire there are also some pop Music arrangements.

In new season the Choir continues to make up steps towards new artistic activities. The main activities of the Choir are finding the new ways to Music, its expresion and presenting new ideas, cooperation with composers and many professional Musicians. Now, the Choir Mūza is making a new image and wants to show multiplicity of the Choir Music. In its programs the Choir performes modern Music and a big part is left of Latvian classical Music as well as traditional Latvian folk-Music. The Choir Mūza was established in 1947. Its founder and leader through out many years has been maestro Leonids Vigners (1906-2001). In 1999 the Choir transferred into new direction and it became a youth Choir. From 2006 the artistic director and the main conductor is Guntis Cimiņš.  less
