David's latest opus is recorded in the week that the Singer's set off for their 2013 Choir Tour of Mallorca. The Leeds-based Chamber Choir St Peter's Singers make a return visit to the beautiful Balearic island of Mallorca from 26th to 29th October 2013. The Choir will be directed Alan Horsey and accompanied by its renowned organist David Houlder, who will also perform organ solos in each of the recitals. Each hour-long recital will comprise a panorama of sacred choral music from British and Continental traditions spanning over 500 years. Particular features of the 2013 programmes include celebration of the birth centenary of Benjamin Britten (1913-1976) as well as works by composers with particular associations with Leeds Minster, where the Singers are based. We’re dedicated to making a beautiful sound together in a Choir where every voice counts.  

Sospiri was founded by the composer John Duggan and the singer Christopher Watson. We are based in Oxford and many of our younger singers have gONE on to sing professionally in London. We are based in Oxford and many of our younger singers have gONE on to sing professionally in London. We sing a wide range of classical repertoire, from Gregorian Chant and Renaissance polyphony to contemporary works, many written by John Duggan. We have recorded two discs for The Gift of Music and give concerts in Oxford and London, as well as making regular trips to France and Italy.

Polyhymnia is a small select ensemble of singers focusing on historically informed performance of sacred music from the courts and cathedrals of the Renaissance world. The ensemble has been in residence at The Church of St. Ignatius of Antioch since 2003....  ONE';">moreONE;">Polyhymnia is a small select ensemble of singers focusing on historically informed performance of sacred music from the courts and cathedrals of the Renaissance world. The ensemble has been in residence at The Church of St. Ignatius of Antioch since 2003. Polyhymnia's singers are drawn from many sources, including some of the finest church Choirs in New York Since 2000, director John Bradley has been creating original editions of music for the ensemble, some of it secreted in manuscript collections since the 16th century. Working in concert with libraries, liturgical historians and institutions, Polyhymnia hopes to both preserve and reintroduce choral masterworks of the Renaissance and early Baroque in ways that both entertain and elucidate. In addition to the concert series, the ensemble's unique relationship with Saint Ignatius of Antioch, a forerunner in the preservation of historical liturgy, provides opportunities to perform Renaissance and Baroque music in a liturgical context, while fostering musical ...    ONE';">less
