The Choir performs three or more significant concerts in Edinburgh each year, and has become known further afield through broadcasts and concerts in Scotland, touring abroad, and singing in support of local and national charities.

We are committed singers, who can prepare music independently before a short intensive rehearsal series, and have opportunities...  moreIrish Doctors Choir members are enthusiastic and experienced singers, mostly, but not exclusively, doctors or medical students. We are committed singers, who can prepare music independently before a short intensive rehearsal series, and have opportunities to perform some of the great works from the classical choral repertoire to a high standard and in exciting venues. We also enjoy singing simple music well at smaller performances on our rehearsal weekends and at conference events. Although our performances are mostly in Ireland, we have quite a few singers from other countries, including UK, France, Germany and Sweden. During 2020, we have held online rehearsals using Zoom and produced two online concerts, raising 11,000 Euro for charity.  less

Walton & Oatlands Choral Society is a friendly group of Mixed voices (SATB), numbering about 30 singers, under the control of our Musical Director Sarah Burston. We rehearse Tuesday evenings 8pm at Walton Methodist Church. New Members Welcome.

Good Noise has performed with artists such as Barbra Streisand, David Foster, Josh Groban, Holly Cole, Daniel Lapp, Dee Daniels, Jim Byrnes, John Lee Sanders, Jennifer Scott, Karin Plato, Kate Hammett-Vaughan, and has appeared on CBC TV, CBC Radio, Global TV, CityTV, Bravo, Knowledge Network and Vision TV. The Choir has performed at several festivals, including the Vancouver Folk Festival, Envision Jazz Festival and the Wintersong Festival. In the Fall of 2013, Good Noise was featured live in concert in an episode for a new television series on Vision TV, “Gospel To Go”. The Choir has also been featured in a television Christmas gospel music special “Tell It On The Mountain” on the Bravo Network, Vision Network and the Knowledge Network and featured in the Disney corporation’s promotion of the musical “The Lion King”.
