The choir's size allows it to concentrate on performing The larger major choral works to great effect. The choir has also been invited to collaborate with The Philharmonia Chorus and The BBC National Chorus of Wales on many occasions in recent years to tackle some of The choral pieces requiring even greater choral forces such as Mahler's Eighth Symphony, Janacek's Glagolitic Mass, The Dvorak Stabat Mater and La Damnation de Faust by Berlioz. The choir is famous for its amazingly rich collection of fourty-two prizes and awards of different international choir competitions. The years of 2006 and 2008 were particularly successful for The group, as The 4th Choir Olympics in China and The 5th Choir Olympics in Austria brought twice The Olympic Championship of All-Male Choirs to Pécs. In 2014, The Pécs men fascinated The jury and audience again – resulting an absolute first prize in The Beijing International Competition for Choirs. As a result of The high artistic reputation, The Chorus has been invited to make tours in Europe as well as in The US, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and China. Invitato in concerti e rassegne in tutta la Sicilia, annovera tra le realizzazioni più notevoli: due spettacoli con Giorgio Albertazzi, l’esecuzione dei Carmina Burana presso l’Università di Messina e di “The Armed Man” di K.Jenkins con l’Orchestra di Lecco, l’allestimento di musical, concerti in diverse città d’Italia tra cui Assisi, Mantova, Roma, Massa, Lecco. Particolare attenzione, negli ultimi anni, è stata data alla produzione di spettacoli originali, come DoppiArmonia:percorsi polifonici per doppio coro (Duomo di Monreale). In this time The choir has participated in The Madrid Community choir contest, obtaining The first prize in 2009 and 2010, and The secón prize in 2007 and 2008 Within The choir activities, we could also mention Their participation in Theatre productions of The musicals Persephone and Midas by Steve Pogson, with which They obtained The first prize in The Vademorillo Theatre contest. They were also awarded first prize in The Community of Madrid Theatre contest, with The musical Super Jim, a play which was written specially for The choir by The British authors Steve Pogson and George Simmers.
