The group consists of musicians from around the South West and we perform at a wide range of venues all over the country. Our repertoire includes traditional choral music as well as contemporary arrangements of popular songs, film scores and Jazz standards. We are available for hire and can provide an atmosphere and presence to meet the needs of any event.  

The chorale is an adult auditioned (SATB) community based chorus based in NE Philadelphia. Our current Artistic Director is Gary Eslinger. We perform 2-6 concerts per year at venues throughout the five county Philadelphia area.

The ensemble is made up of undergraduates and graduates of Cambridge University, and currently the choirs of King’s, St John’s and Trinity colleges are represented. Recent concerts have included performances of Gesualdo’s Tenebrae Responsories for Maundy Thursday (Feria Quinta), Monteverdi madrigals and anthems by Byrd. The ensemble has also performed music by Ligeti, Rheinberger and arrangements by Philip Lawson. Future engagements include a lunchtime concert in the Cambridge St John’s Music Festival, as well as concerts at Jesus and Caius colleges.  less

It is well known as an ico...  moreGOSPEL SINGERS WANTED, Audition 5th & 6th July 2021 – Black History Month Background Union Chapel is a historic church based in Islington with a small but enthusiastic congregation looking to expand our horizons. It is well known as an iconic music venue attracting major artists. It is also a centre for social justice and community activities. In recent years, the church has been developing music in our Sunday services with a range of genres, classical, Jazz, gospel, and world music. The church has also created several unique events led by our musicians. These have included our annual Christmas Candlelight service, Good Friday evening performances and smaller events to commemorate such occasions as Black History Month, a remembrance event in the Covid pandemic. Besides the usual church festivals, we also have special services for Refugee Week, Gay Pride, Holocaust Memorial, and other special commemorations. Its aims are to rehearse and perform a wide variety of music to a high standard, and to engage with the local community, both in its membership and by bringing top quality performances to the local area and beyond. Voices of Gotham is open to all singers in the TTBB range interested in the barbershop style. Since the chorus' founding in 2008, VoG has rapidly distinguished itself as one of the country's leading incubators of both new barbershop music, and of young musical artists who will shape the continuing evolution and excellence of the barbershop tradition. VoG is ranked by the BHS as one of the top ten barbershop choruses worldwide. We run inspirational residential courses and training programmes, create remarkable concerts and performances, and work in partnership to get singing happening in schools and open settings. We do it because singing together at the highest level transforms young people's lives, and we want to make sure that as many as possible get the chance to experience it for themselves.  less
