En la...  moreLa Escolanía María Auxiliadora (EMA) es un coro de voces blancas que nace en 1997 en el Colegio María Auxiliadora (Salesianas) de Cádiz por iniciativa de Antonio Hernández Asencio, profesor de música del centro y director musical desde su fundación. En la actualidad sus componentes vienen desde distintos centros escolares, institutos y facultades. En sus ya 18 años de historia la EMA ha participado en multitud de concursos, encuentros y congresos con coros de todo el mundo y ha sido invitada a colaborar en galas y proyectos benéficos. Tuvieron especial relevancia los encuentros nacionales en Guadix (Granada), Toledo, Oviedo y Murcia, así como los congresos internacionales en Granada, Estocolmo, Roma y París. En julio de 2012 realizó una intensa gira de siete conciertos en la región de Aveyron (Francia), en abril de 2013 fue invitada al I Festival Internacional de Coros en Casablanca (Marruecos) y en 2014 al Festival Internacional de Canto Coral en Tánger. All members ...  moreInitially formed as part of a School-outreach program with The Quintessential Vocal Ensemble (QVE) in Newfoundland in 2009, Afterglow developed a love of 6-part a cappella music and began searching for new and challenging musical experiences. All members of QVE, The singers range in disciplines from Music to Engineering to The Arts. Afterglow performs frequently throughout St. John’s, including being featured guests on CBC Radio, local television, Festival 500, as well as community Concerts and fundraisers. The group writes Their own arrangements and began presenting full Concerts last spring. Afterglow was one of 11 groups selected world-wide to partake in The Small Vocal Ensembles component of international biennial Festival 500 in July 2011. This will include masterclasses and individual coaching sessions with Bob Chilcott and Finnish group, Rajaton. This whole competition took place at George Fox University in Newburg Oregon. The South Salem Saxons also took first at Their Districts festival in Salem/Keizer Oregon.
