The Choir was initially created to unite students with a shared interest in praiSing the Lord through Song. Soon, however, the weekly choir rehearsals became not only a meeting place, but also a refuge for those looking for a non-threatening and empowering environment. UTGC has burst onto the international scene, while continuing to serve the greater Toronto community in local concerts and university events held throughout the year, like their community Christmas concert, and May's Gospelfest. In the past, the Choir has also participated in the annual "The Colours of Christmas" concert as the guest of top international recording artists, such as Peabo Bryson, Roberta Flack, and Jon Secada, just to na... less

A ladies' a capella four part harmony group we have our roots in barbershop but Sing all sorts of music from old standards and barbershop classics to mega pop hits by groups like Abba and Queen. Experience is not required, nor is the ability to read music as we have 'teach tracks' with the Songs in your part on (tenor, lead, baritone or bass) and access to these are given alongside sheet music.
From time to time we run Singing courses or open evenings for which there are no auditions. On a course we usually all learn a new Song together and sometimes are able not only to benefit from the direction of our musical director but also guest expert coaches from our parent organisation, the La... less
