Each choir member has a different and wide-ranging background in solo, operatic and competitive performance, which enhances the choir’s ability to undertake some of the more challenging choral works and contributes to their fresh and unique sound. the Academy Chamber choir’s repertoire spans from early to contemporary Music. their most recent success was ranking third in “Irelands choir of the Year” at Cork International Choral Festival 2013. they then went on to win 1st place in the Early Music, 1st place in the Irish Language and 2nd place in the Sacred Music at Navan Choral Festival 2013. they were 2nd place in RTE Lyric FM’s choirs for Christmas Competition – Irelands largest choral competition featuring over 400 choirs. they are winners of the “National choir of the Year 2012” competition. they have had huge suc...    less

Its members have participated in many major Music events, such as oratorio performances dedicated to Pope John Paul II or a concert directed by Enio Morricone during the Solidarity Festival. Emma wanted to make choirs, and singing, more accessible to everyone. During the COVID lockdown, SOS has been offering FREE virtual choirs to the entire world. We're currently (June 2020) in 80 countries and working with thousands of singers each week. We've just launched our fourth project, an original song, ready to be made into a virtual choir video.  less
