It’s 40+ members perform just about anywhere, private corporate functions, after-show parties, conferences, schools, cabaret functions, clubs, weddings, christenings, funerals, prisons, churches, open-air festivals, theatres and concert halls.
LCGC have sung on the soundtrack for Walt Disney’s “The Lion King”, performed for Nelson Mandela during his famous visit to London, officiated at many celebrity weddings and supported Madonna on stage during Live 8. They represent the best of British and have been sponsored by the British Council at international festivals in Europe, Africa and Israel.
A choir used to making history, they were the choir chosen to perform at the memorial concert for the victims of July 7th London bombings in Regents Park, in addition they opened at main stage Glastonbury and put gospel for the first time on the very English BBC Proms map.
LCGC, a thoroughly professional outfit has through the years appeared on numerous radio and television programmes: Radio Two Christmas Specials, BBC Breakfast TV, Jools Holland, Parkinson, Songs Of Praise, as well as several Royal Variety Shows and Royal Performances – the list is endless!
Top artists such as George Michael, Madonna, Jessye Norman, Sting, Luther Vandross, Sir Elton John, Mariah Carey, Blur, The Gorillaz, Beautiful South, Embrace, Diana Ross, Sir Paul McCartney, Westlife, Celine Dion, Tina Turner and so many others have benefited from using LCGC’s unique vocal style on live appearances, video and studio recordings.
LCGC have released 10 CD’s. Their latest recording ‘Best Of LCGC’ is a celebration of their 30 year history with their most popular tracks.
