The leader and conductor of the choir, since its foundation in 2000, is its creator and establisher Jānis Ozols – a friend to every member, but strait and demanding at the rehearsals. Janis has two great aids in his work with “Maska”: the chorus master – Laura Jēkabsone, and Jānis Strazdiņš, the vocal pedagogue. The creative community of “Maska” is always open to fellowship with other local, as well as foreign choral collectives, often takes common participation in different concerts and events. less
