The choir has rich concert acti... moreThe core of the team consists of students and graduates of the Gdańsk University of Technology. The choir's repertoire is very diverse. The band sings mainly sacral, including orthodox music, but also contemporary and folk. The choir has rich concert activity in the country and abroad and with great success has participated in many choral contests and festivals. The ensemble performed hundreds of concerts and presented its skills at competitions and festivals in Germany, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary and many others. The choir has recorded a few CDs: "Bogoroditse Devo, Raduisya" from 2008, "Musica Sacra" from 2013, "Canticum Canticorum" from 2017. They have recently won many awards: Grand Prix at II International Choir Festival “Canco Meditterrania” in Lloret de Mar and Barcelona 2013, Golden Medal at prestige Seghizzi Choir Festival in Gorizia 2014, Grand Prix at Choir Festival in Kielce 2015, 1st place at International Festival of Orthodox Church Music Hajnówka 2016, 2nd place at Legnica Cantat 2017 Choral Competition, 1st place at International Festival of Religious Music in Rumia in years 2015 and 2018. The band conducts not only musical but also socio-cultural activities, organizing concerts and artistic events, such as concerts for charity, cyclical oratorio concerts and festivals of academic choirs. Members of the choir actively participate in the life of the university, providing musical setting for the ceremonies. They are also involved in projects concerning the performance of larger musical works, among which one can find Gregorio Allegri's “Miserere Mei, Deus”, “Agnus Dei” by Samuel Barber, “Sunrise Mass” by Ola Gjeilo, Wojciech Kilar's “Missa Pro Pace”, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's “Coronation Mass” and “Requiem d minor”. less
