Classicappella: learn classical pieces by ear, arranged for a cappella voices

  • Classicappella
    Saturday 4 July, 10.30am (doors open 10am) to 4.30pm
    Stamford United Reformed Church Hall
    29 Broad Street
    Stamford PE9 1PJ

We are all familiar with classical choral pieces such as Handel's Messiah, Faure's Requiem and Bach's St Matthew Passion. But there are other wonderful Western classical pieces that work really well using voices only.

Chris Rowbury has arranged a selection of fabulous classical works for voice only. They include Puccini's Nessun dorma, Handel's Lascia Ch'io Pianga, Purcell's Dido's Lament, and more! Everything will be taught by ear, so no sheet music.

It will be a great opportunity to put the music down, listen closely, and experience harmony singing in a different way. And if you don't normally sing classical music, this singing day will make them accessible to anyone who loves to sing.

The day costs £30 in advance and runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm (doors open at 10am). Teas, coffees and biscuits are included.
