Good Ensemble- "The Few" and "The Cost"

  • Excellence isn't easy.  We appreciate that which costs us greatly and often treat that which is free with disdain. The more it costs us, the greater the “value.” Being part of a Good Ensemble is not easy, fast, or cheap. Most people, when they experience being part of a good ensemble, don’t recognize the value the ensemble is disregarded. Many begin to pursue good ensemble and come to believe that the price is too high. Prematurely, they abandon the pursuit and sacrifice their investment, making it that much harder to begin the chase again. However, “The Few” pursue Good Ensemble relentlessly. “The Few” are unstoppable in their quest to apprehend their quarry.

Like a fleeing criminal, life throws things in their path to throw off the chase. Circumstances and fatigue, relationships and work, challenges and inadequacies of all kind rear their ugly head and cry “Halt! How dare you believe you could ever achieve such a high and lofty goal!” Some are turned aside by this monster of doubt and are forced to spend a lifetime having come “so close” and knowing they could have been a part of a Good Ensemble.

Still, “The Few”, brandishing the weapons they’ve acquired on their journey slay these beasts with the same relentless passion that has brought them through thus far. Wielding perseverance, they push through exhaustion and moments of weakness. Brandishing relationships “The Few” lean on friends, mentors and family when they stumble and fall. “Circumstances” don’t stand a chance when “The Few” realize they can never be a victim unless they choose to act like one.

Will you become one of “The Few” who have accomplished the nearly impossible?
