Small Voices, Great Sound!

  • The Major Minors Children's Choir (aged 5-12) are really looking forward to their concert  "One Small Voice" on Sunday June 8th.

The New Zealand based choir have been working on a variety of songs and this fun concert has something for everyone including selections from Disney, jazz, pop and part work. The programme also has many solo lines that the children are excited about singing. "The kids love the sound they make as a choir, but are always very enthusiastic to have a go at solo parts as well, so we try to add them in- any opportunity to lift their confidence is a good experience!" says Musical Director, Joanne Roelofs.

The choir have had a busy start to the year with several performances at community events in Upper Hutt and are always looking for opportunities to sing."We want to make the choir fun and about sharing an enjoyment of song together and with family, friends and the public".

The Major Minors is an all comers choir and is run voluntarily by Musical Director Joanne Roelofs and Pianist Karen Boyce. New members are welcome anytime.

Our concert "One Small Voice" is at 2.30pm, on Sunday June 8th at the Upper Hutt Baptist Church, cnr Fergusson Drive and Milton Street. Entry is by gold coin donation.
